Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of applications, including health, performance, upgrades, documentation, and production monitoring.
- Align application roadmaps with enterprise goals and identify modernization and cost-optimization opportunities.
- Lead Agile teams and manage sprints, releases, resources, conflicts, budgets, forecasts, and vendor contracts.
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery and meet application SLAs while overseeing incident resolution.
- Maintain audit readiness and compliance with security, regulatory, disaster-recovery, and OSFI standards.
- Engage auditors, respond to security findings, develop remediation plans, and ensure issues are closed on time.
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior staff and peers while leading diverse cross-functional teams across geographies and time zones.
Requirements
- 10+ years of total experience.
- Strong solution-design experience and a strong technology background as a Java-focused full-stack developer.
- Exceptional experience building large-scale enterprise applications.
- Experience with strategic planning, technology-roadmap alignment, Agile delivery, sprint and release management, budgeting, resource planning, and vendor oversight.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing technical and soft skills in junior staff and peers.
- Ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams across geographies and time zones.
- Experience working with internal and external auditors, responding to security findings, and developing remediation plans.
- Understanding of enterprise security controls, including data encryption and access management.
