Base Salary
$70k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support end-to-end applications across frontend, backend, and integration layers.
- Build and enhance core banking and client onboarding platforms, including scalable APIs, backend services, microservices, and user-facing applications.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and own features from design through production support.
- Develop AI-assisted capabilities for document processing, intelligent onboarding, search, summarization, decision support, and RAG.
- Implement LLM functionality including prompt design, structured output handling, tool calling, error handling, and edge-case management.
- Implement and optimize RAG pipelines using chunking strategies, embeddings, vector search, and source-document grounding.
- Establish validation and evaluation practices to assess AI output quality and identify regressions.
- Apply safety and security controls including input validation, PII handling, prompt-injection mitigation, and human-in-the-loop review.
- Contribute to API-first, cloud adoption, event-driven architecture, engineering quality, CI/CD, and observability initiatives.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, business, and non-technical stakeholders while managing model-related cost and latency.
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Node.js, or Python and one of React or Angular.
- Strong understanding of system design, API development, scalability, and production-grade end-to-end application delivery.
- Hands-on experience building applications with large language models and explaining design decisions, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Practical understanding of prompt engineering, output-quality evaluation, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and retrieval quality.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, ownership, accountability, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work across technology stacks, adapt quickly, engage non-technical stakeholders, and operate in ambiguous problem spaces.
- Preferred experience in banking or other regulated or complex domains, including onboarding, payments, lending, trade, or KYC/AML.
- Preferred production experience supporting LLM features, agentic AI, LangChain or LangGraph, AWS Bedrock, Copilot Studio, model evaluation, LLM observability, search, analytics, cloud modernization, or streaming architectures.
- Awareness of AI security concerns including prompt injection, data leakage, output validation, and the OWASP LLM Top 10.
