Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, and deploy large-scale and complex software systems.
- Develop solutions that optimize goods movement and facility throughput across Amazon’s fulfillment network.
- Coordinate software with fulfillment processes, labor resources, robotics, and automated systems.
- Collaborate with operations staff and software engineers to solve complex business and technical problems.
- Communicate ideas effectively, influence broader technical decisions, and mentor other engineers.
- Build reliable, scalable, high-volume, low-latency, and highly available services.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
