Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, and deliver production-grade automation, including LLM- and agent-enabled solutions, to reduce manual operational work.
  • Own application risk, controls, compliance, lifecycle management, remediation findings, and evidence management.
  • Drive secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools.
  • Maintain application security and data accountability, including authentication, authorization, vulnerability and certificate hygiene, data classification, retention, and disposal.
  • Coordinate product and engineering teams, prioritize execution, coach engineers, and promote reusable engineering practices.
  • Operate resilient production services through monitoring, logging, anomaly detection, incident and change management, recovery readiness, SLOs, SLIs, alerting, and error budgets.

Requirements

  • Formal software engineering training or certification and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Proven experience designing, coding, testing, and delivering production-grade software with strong software engineering and data structures fundamentals.
  • Advanced development experience in Java or Python with strong debugging and production troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience building scalable data processing, Big Data, and ETL pipelines using technologies such as Hortonworks or AWS.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure, networking, cloud products, compute, storage, routers, and load balancers.
  • Deep proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise architecture, toil reduction, SRE practices, observability, telemetry, SLOs, and alerting.
  • Experience mentoring others, collaborating across stakeholders, evaluating technologies, and leading responsible use of approved AI-assisted engineering tools.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of AI inputs and outputs, and compliant adoption in engineering workflows.
  • Preferred: current AWS credential such as Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or Developer.
  • Preferred: recognized automation or DevOps credential and hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
