Responsibilities
- Define, assess, and prioritize mainframe modernization roadmaps while considering cost and risk.
- Design software frameworks, systems, system interfaces, business application prototypes, and products.
- Identify and resolve weaknesses in framework and application architecture designs.
- Provide technical leadership to application development teams and conduct design and code reviews.
- Ensure consistent enterprise-wide application design standards and alignment with business requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for software architecture, application design processes, component integration, and testing guidelines.
Requirements
- Experience architecting large customer change and transformation projects.
- In-depth knowledge of hardware and software, including connectivity between platforms.
- Preferred Open Group Master Certified Architect certification or equivalent.
- Preferred hands-on experience in a mainframe environment.
- Preferred experience with mainframe modernization projects involving Modernize On, Integrate With, and Move Off approaches.
- Strong understanding of z/OS, IBM software products, and third-party mainframe software.
