Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of new Studio features and change requests.
- Develop scalable, maintainable cloud-native microservices and full-stack functionality across backend, frontend, and interaction-management platforms.
- Modernize and re-architect the Studio product into Java microservices on GCP.
- Own service performance, quality, production troubleshooting, monitoring, and participation in the on-call rotation.
- Conduct code reviews, identify technical debt, and maintain high engineering standards.
- Use New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, and similar tools for monitoring, logging, APM, and incident debugging.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers and serve as an expert for complex or ambiguous challenges.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver features, documentation, specifications, processes, and APIs.
- Ensure project milestones and business-aligned delivery objectives are met.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and developing high-traffic, distributed, and scalable systems on GCP, AWS, or Azure in a SaaS environment.
- Hands-on experience developing cloud-native backend microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
- High proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Java, PHP, JavaScript, and Python.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as Vue.js or React.
- Strong experience with New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, and similar observability systems.
- Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, database optimization, sharding, containerization, Kubernetes, and production deployment and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience with multi-tenant systems, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, contact centers, IVR, virtual agents, VoIP, or telecom environments is desirable.
- Portfolio demonstrating architecture, design, and full-stack development experience.
