Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end development across backend and frontend infrastructure.
- Architect and ship commercially available APIs and data feeds for reliability and scale.
- Build interactive user interfaces and data visualizations using TypeScript and React.
- Optimize SQL queries and reason about data models at scale.
- Manage infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and security.
- Establish coding, testing, and deployment standards and troubleshoot complex production issues.
- Partner with the founding, product, and data analytics teams to define technical strategy and product roadmap.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience building software, ideally with end-to-end feature ownership in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Strong backend development skills with Node, TypeScript, and frameworks such as Express.js.
- Strong SQL optimization skills, including writing performant queries and optimizing slow queries.
- Frontend proficiency, ideally with React, including interactive interfaces and data visualizations.
- Familiarity with AI models, LLMs, and agentic coding tools, including building with and around LLMs.
- Ability to work independently, make architecture decisions, communicate proactively, and contribute in a high-ownership environment.
- Preferred experience developing an MCP server, working with real-time applications or WebSockets, contributing to startup engineering culture, or working in financial services or market research.
