Base Salary
$100k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to engineering projects involving large-scale search, web crawling, vector databases, and machine learning infrastructure.
- Build keyword search capable of operating across 10 billion web pages.
- Develop a high-performance crawling system optimized for a broad range of websites.
- Build a custom vector database capable of processing over one billion vectors in under 100 milliseconds.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Willing to take a semester off to work full time.
- Experience with a high-performance programming language such as C++ or Rust.
- Demonstrated interest in technically difficult or interesting coding projects.
- Interest in improving access to high-quality information.
