Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build, test, validate, and promote security controls for Azure resources and AWS services.
- Use CSPM tools to assess cloud workload posture and compliance in a CI/CD environment.
- Assess, implement, automate, document, and operationalize cloud security solutions for Azure and AWS.
- Integrate enterprise security standards, policies, configurations, and architectures into cloud software deployment pipelines.
- Analyze workloads for alignment with operational security requirements before production deployment.
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects, the SOC, Cloud Product, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and operational partners.
- Refine backlog items, define priorities and sizing, and participate in planning sessions.
- Provide production engineering support, evaluate patches and updates, and document implementation and configuration details.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to project leadership and future roadmap planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience.
- 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
- Deep experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing controls for public cloud workloads.
- Experience performing security gap analysis on cloud services or infrastructure.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Expertise with Git and branching workflows.
- Experience testing security controls for effectiveness.
- Expertise in SQL or SQL-type query languages.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated project leadership and ability to guide large team initiatives.
- Preferred certifications include Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), and AWS Cloud Security Engineer.
