Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and scale high-performance, secure, reusable backend services.
- Own backend systems end to end, from architecture through production deployment.
- Develop greenfield capabilities such as fraud signal pipelines, notification services, and decisioning layers.
- Partner with product, design, data science, frontend/mobile, and adjacent engineering teams on trust and safety features.
- Lead technical and design discussions across fraud detection, authentication, and customer data.
- Drive best practices in system design, coding, testing, and DevOps.
- Build and optimize intelligent services that protect users from fraud while delivering secure and personalized experiences.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend systems in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Expertise architecting and productionizing large-scale distributed systems.
- Ability to work across multiple technical areas and collaborate with frontend and mobile teams.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills for complex systems.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and work effectively in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, secure coding, and resilient systems meeting high security and regulatory standards.
- Preferred experience with lending, credit cards, payments, or other financial services products.
- Preferred familiarity with mobile app ecosystems and financial technology.
