Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions in line with project requirements.
- Produce clear, well-structured, and maintainable software designs.
- Deliver robust and reliable software suitable for operational use.
- Perform testing to ensure software quality, performance, and compliance.
- Maintain and enhance existing software by resolving defects and implementing new features.
- Model maritime battlespace environments and defence systems for naval training, system validation, and capability development.
Requirements
- Degree such as a BEng or BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related numerate discipline.
- Proven experience with at least one high-level programming language; C++, C#, Java, or Ada are highly desirable.
- Adequate experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Understanding of configuration management principles and experience using configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including switches and routers.
- Ability to meet applicable security and export-control requirements, including Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance; some roles may require higher national security vetting.
