Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reusable, consistent, and accessible iOS UI components and experience patterns.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to support SumUp’s product priorities and upcoming brand refresh.
- Embed accessibility standards including VoiceOver, dynamic type, color contrast, and touch-target sizing.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance to product teams and review code contributions for design-system conventions.
- Lead the migration of legacy UIKit components to SwiftUI while maintaining system stability.
- Identify and address technical debt, mentor engineers, and promote reusable UI development best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional iOS development experience, ideally with large-scale or consumer-facing applications.
- Fluency in Swift and deep hands-on knowledge of SwiftUI and UIKit.
- Experience building or contributing to a design system, component library, or shared UI framework.
- Strong understanding of accessible user experiences, including VoiceOver, dynamic type, color contrast, and touch-target standards.
- Experience with UI component testing, including unit tests, snapshot tests, and UI automation.
- Ability to review code, mentor peers, communicate clearly in English, and work collaboratively across functions.
- Curiosity about the iOS ecosystem and Apple’s releases and APIs.
