Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.
- Own end-to-end technical delivery of features, including quality, performance, security, and scalability.
- Drive architecture and design discussions for distributed and cloud-native systems.
- Provide technical leadership through solution reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Management, QA, DevOps, architects, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues, including root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Drive performance optimization, scalability improvements, and technical-debt reduction initiatives.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, prioritization, and release management.
- Guide and mentor engineers while promoting coding standards, design principles, and continuous learning.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify risks, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise application backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE and the Spring framework.
- Experience designing and developing scalable, high-performance, distributed systems.
- Understanding of microservices, Kafka, Redis, NoSQL, RESTful APIs, HTTP, and web servers.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with SaaS products and service-oriented deployment in public or private clouds.
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS; Cassandra experience is a plus.
- Experience developing search-based applications using Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
- Experience monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting production systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or AppDynamics.
- Experience working with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, iterative, or mixed development approaches.
- Experience with large-scale data processing technologies such as Spark and Hadoop is a plus.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or an equivalent engineering qualification.
