Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and evolve large-scale ML systems powering ad ranking, recommendations, and advertiser optimization.
  • Define and improve ML lifecycle practices covering feature engineering, model development, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, robustness, reproducibility, and scalability.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities, clarify ambiguous problem spaces, and influence product and business strategy.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and research teams to translate business objectives into scalable ML solutions and influence roadmaps.
  • Own metrics such as relevance, revenue, latency, and reliability while improving system efficiency, scalability, and cost-performance tradeoffs.
  • Advance deep learning, GenAI, and LLM-based approaches into practical production systems.
  • Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, establish engineering standards, and provide technical leadership.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience building and scaling production-grade ML systems in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to design, deploy, and operate large-scale ML systems, including pipelines, online services, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design, including architectural tradeoffs.
  • Strong coding skills in Python, Scala, or similar languages.
  • Hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Hugging Face, Ray, and vLLM.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing tools such as Spark and Hadoop.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with experimentation, segmentation, and analysis of large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence partners and drive cross-functional alignment.
