Responsibilities
- Design and implement semantic extraction pipelines for simulation logs, vehicle trajectories, and multi-agent behavioral events.
- Develop temporal graph models for time-varying agent interactions, road context, and safety-critical events.
- Build a multimodal hybrid retrieval engine using dense embeddings, keyword search, and graph traversal.
- Create interactive Jupyter or Colab-based data exploration tools and visualization dashboards.
- Benchmark retrieval precision, recall, and query latency against tabular and relational search baselines.
- Collaborate with simulation researchers, machine learning engineers, and software infrastructure teams on architecture and roadmap recommendations.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a master's or PhD program in computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics, electrical engineering, or a related quantitative field, with at least one academic term remaining.
- Strong software development experience in Python and/or C++ in a Linux environment.
- Solid foundation in computer science, data structures, algorithm complexity, and distributed data systems.
- Hands-on experience with modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Preferred: research or practical experience with knowledge graphs, graph algorithms, graph neural networks, information retrieval, or retrieval-augmented generation.
- Preferred: published papers in relevant AI/ML, data mining, or computer vision conferences.
- Preferred: experience with Apache Spark, Apache Beam, distributed SQL query engines, or columnar data lakes.
- Preferred: familiarity with temporal graphs, bi-temporal data modeling, or graph databases and tooling.
- Preferred: interest or experience in autonomous vehicle simulation, behavior prediction, motion planning, trajectory forecasting, or multi-agent interaction modeling.
