Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the end-to-end release pipeline across the Bazel monorepo and Python deployable units, including branching, build orchestration, artifact promotion, and rollback.
- Design and maintain Ansible-based fleet automation for heterogeneous Linux edge nodes using Ubuntu LTS, NVIDIA drivers, and Docker with the NVIDIA runtime.
- Manage update tooling written in Golang and harden CI/CD for offline and bandwidth-constrained deployment targets.
- Build LLM-powered automated testing systems for test generation, flake triage, log and failure analysis, regression diffing, and release-note synthesis.
- Drive release observability through deployment telemetry, version-drift detection, and post-deployment health validation.
- Mentor engineers on release hygiene, reproducible builds, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in release engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles shipping production Linux systems.
- Expert Python skills focused on tooling, packaging, dependency resolution, PEP 440 versioning, wheels, pip, private indexes, subprocesses, and CI integration.
- Expert Ansible proficiency and working knowledge of Terraform.
- Expert Docker proficiency, including container lifecycle management, image hardening, registry management, and NVIDIA container runtime configuration.
- Production Linux administration experience with systemd, networking, kernel and driver management, NVIDIA/DKMS, package management, and APT internals.
- Proficiency with Git workflows, branching strategies, and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
- Experience designing and operating unit, integration, hardware-in-the-loop, and end-to-end automated test infrastructure.
- Practical experience using Anthropic, OpenAI, or local LLMs for test generation, code-review augmentation, log analysis, or agentic tooling.
- Strong technical communication, runbook authorship, post-incident documentation, systems thinking, and experience reasoning across hardware, operating-system, container, and application layers.
- Preferred experience includes Bazel or similar monorepo systems, edge or embedded deployments, Tailscale, WireGuard, zero-trust networking, gRPC/protobuf ecosystems, Vault, PKI, secrets management, and regulated environments such as CMMC, ISO 27001, or SOC 2.
