Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, implement, model, govern, and maintain business rules using IBM Operational Decision Manager.
- Manage decision tables, decision trees, decision flows, RuleApps, and business-rule lifecycles.
- Integrate the ODM rule engine with Java-based corporate applications and SOA or microservices architectures.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to translate business requirements into executable, maintainable rules.
- Optimize the performance, traceability, and maintainability of ODM solutions.
- Participate in the definition and integration of user interfaces for decision processes and rule management.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams.
Requirements
- At least five years of demonstrable experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager.
- Advanced knowledge of Rule Designer, Decision Center, Rule Execution Server, decision tables, business rules, and RuleApp deployment.
- Extensive Java development experience, with Java 8 or higher; Java 17 or 21 is preferred.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, JPA, and Hibernate.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and integrating ODM with SOA or microservices.
- Knowledge of relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
- Experience with Angular, preferably Angular 12 or higher, plus TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and REST API consumption.
- Experience collaborating with business areas and converting functional requirements into maintainable rules.
- Experience in regulated sectors such as insurance, banking, public administration, or telecommunications is valued.
- Technical leadership, team mentoring, and experience with Scrum or Kanban are valued.
