Responsibilities
- Design and develop monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting solutions to improve product observability.
- Partner with development and SRE teams to define observability requirements and address monitoring needs.
- Develop dashboards and actionable alerts for system health, performance, and reliability.
- Implement product-level performance and reliability monitoring.
- Build automation for troubleshooting, validation, and release processes.
- Contribute to AI-native observability initiatives involving anomaly detection, troubleshooting, and operational insights.
- Identify observability gaps and drive reliability and operational-readiness improvements.
- Share observability best practices and product knowledge with SRE, Technical Support, and development teams.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with software development, automation, or observability-related projects.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, or performance testing concepts.
- Experience with Python and/or Java.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog.
- Experience with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices is a plus.
- Interest in AI/ML and applying AI to software engineering, monitoring, and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with an interest in system reliability and developer experience.
