Responsibilities
- Contribute to and maintain Spotify’s Desktop C++ application across macOS and Windows.
- Develop native container capabilities that enable UI teams to build new experiences and use evolving platform capabilities.
- Improve platform systems, CI configurations, build pipelines, packaging, and application delivery.
- Develop and maintain backend services supporting content delivery, update infrastructure, and release tooling.
- Build and improve operating system integrations connecting Spotify with partner platforms.
- Collaborate with external partners, including Microsoft, on current platform capabilities.
- Explore AI agent integrations within the Spotify Desktop experience.
- Work with distributed engineering teams and partners to solve complex cross-system and platform problems.
Requirements
- Strong C++ development skills and experience working on production software with a large user base.
- Experience navigating complex codebases spanning multiple programming languages, technologies, and systems.
- Ability to take ownership of systems through development, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems, work through ambiguity, and find practical solutions.
- Curiosity and motivation to learn new technologies, platforms, and areas of the codebase.
- Effective cross-team collaboration and clear communication.
- Comfort working with colleagues across a fully distributed team.
