Base Salary
$135k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable OTA platforms in C++ and Go for distributing software packages, firmware updates, and configuration changes.
- Implement secure update delivery using cryptographic signing, encrypted communication, and authentication systems.
- Build cloud-based OTA infrastructure using Docker and orchestration frameworks for high-volume, low-latency distribution.
- Develop package-management systems supporting versioning, dependencies, and diverse device ecosystems.
- Create content delivery networks optimized for reliable software-update distribution in bandwidth-constrained environments.
- Build monitoring and analytics systems for update success rates, performance metrics, and real-time OTA campaign visibility.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers, security specialists, product managers, and device firmware teams.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience developing distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Go, with experience building scalable cloud-native applications.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP services, DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and containerization.
- Knowledge of cryptographic signing, certificate management, encrypted communication protocols, and secure remote software deployment.
- Experience managing packages for devices running embedded Linux and real-time operating systems.
- Proficiency with API design and service mesh technologies for resilient distributed systems.
- Understanding of content delivery networks and package delivery networks for global software-update distribution.
- Experience with OTA frameworks such as Mender, RAUC, or SWUpdate is preferred.
- Experience with Go Cloud, gRPC, distributed database systems, fleet management, device monitoring, remote diagnostics, or device lifecycle management is preferred.
- Knowledge of penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, cybersecurity standards, Terraform, or CloudFormation is preferred.
