Responsibilities

  • Develop foundational Safeguards systems for data storage and management, metrics and evaluations, and human and agentic review tooling.
  • Operate Safeguards systems day to day while maintaining a high standard of reliability for safety and customers.
  • Build robust, multilayered defenses that improve safety mechanisms in real time and operate at scale.
  • Reduce the amount of human intervention and oversight required for Safeguards systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4–10+ years of experience in a software engineering position.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Ability to work across the stack.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with trust and safety, anti-spam, fraud, abuse detection, AI/ML interventions, metrics systems, data and privacy management, or internal operational tooling is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or Rust and experience with Claude Code or similar agentic coding tools are advantageous.

Benefits

  • Annual compensation range of £255,000–£325,000 GBP.
