Base Salary

$142k - $213k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable Java application systems for margin calculation services and reporting.
  • Translate complex business requirements into well-architected technical solutions in partnership with project managers, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
  • Resolve high-impact problems and critical projects through analysis of complex business processes, system architectures, and industry standards.
  • Define and enforce standards for application coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in application programming and ensure designs align with the architectural blueprint and technology roadmap.
  • Mentor and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work to support team and project success.
  • Identify and implement system enhancements for new products and process improvements.
  • Assess and manage technical risks while maintaining regulatory compliance and transparent control-issue reporting.
  • Operate independently and own critical initiatives through successful completion.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of progressive experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
  • Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Java application technologies, including Java core, collections, concurrency, and streams.
  • Deep experience with Spring, distributed application architectures, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Spring Core, Spring Batch, Spring Integration, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Hibernate, Jackson, JAX-RS, JPA, and JAXB.
  • Experience with RESTful API development and integration, messaging technologies, performance optimization, parallel processing, multithreading, locking, and synchronization.
  • Experience with JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, SQL, Linux environments, job scheduling, and deployment frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of project management techniques and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, manage multiple deadlines, adapt to changing requirements, and collaborate effectively with global teams.
  • Financial services experience or interest is preferred.
