Base Salary

$160k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the phased migration of Signals device firmware from vendor ownership to internal ownership.
  • Partner with the current vendor during the handoff to capture firmware design and update mechanisms.
  • Build the internal firmware build and signing pipeline.
  • Partner with Engineering Services on unified OTA delivery across the device fleet.
  • Establish firmware release processes, version control, and rollback discipline.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of embedded firmware engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with device firmware migration or OEM-to-internal handoff.
  • Strong C/C++ and embedded Linux experience.
  • Experience with OTA update mechanisms, secure boot, and firmware signing.
  • A track record of production fleet firmware ownership.
  • IoT or security device fleet experience is preferred.
  • Experience with cross-product firmware standards across multiple device lines is preferred.
  • Familiarity with vendor-to-internal codebase transitions is preferred.
