Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support applications for securities lending, fixed-income portfolio financing, repo trading, financing costs, FX hedging, and collateral management.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Portfolio Management, and business users to solve business challenges and address market changes.
- Build and improve cloud-deployed services using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Develop reusable components and contribute to firmwide libraries while maintaining supportability, performance, and future readiness.
- Participate in Agile processes and provide global Level 3 support.
- Lead strategic technical initiatives from inception through completion.
- Mentor junior team members in technology and career development.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Java development experience.
- Strong design and architecture skills, preferably with microservices experience.
- Proven experience leading strategic technical initiatives from inception to completion.
- Experience with relational databases and messaging systems, preferably Kafka.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across regions and time zones.
- Strong ownership and a demonstrated record of delivering results.
- Preferred: financial services experience involving portfolio financing, fixed-income trading and settlement, or collateral and margin management.
- Preferred: experience with React and TypeScript.
- Preferred: knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices including build automation.
