Base Salary

$148k - $222k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead business-critical IAM projects from design through launch and long-term operation.
  • Build secure, reliable services for authentication, authorization, delegation, auditing, and revocation.
  • Break ambiguous problems into work that multiple engineers can deliver together.
  • Own customer impact, reliability, and technical quality in production.
  • Improve architecture as scale, security, and product needs change.
  • Define and maintain SLOs for owned systems.
  • Partner with Security, Product, Platform, and product engineering teams.
  • Create reusable IAM patterns for other engineering teams.
  • Mentor engineers and support project contributors.
  • Apply engineering and AI tools responsibly and take on important unowned work.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience building and operating production software.
  • Hands-on experience developing production services in Go or Python.
  • Experience with authentication, authorization, identity, or related security systems.
  • Experience building networking systems, API gateways, APIs, or SDKs.
  • Experience leading complex projects spanning multiple engineers and several months.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership, clear communication, practical technical decision-making, and mentoring.
  • Preferred experience with auth or policy systems, secure platforms, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, React, Django, enterprise security, auditability, data residency, or compliance needs.
