Responsibilities
- Create scalable software solutions and test tooling for peak power management, transient mitigation, battery health, and dynamic power-budgeting technologies.
- Devise and execute end-to-end testing strategies across diverse battery operating states.
- Develop and automate unit, functional, integration, and system-level tests using mocks, stubs, and internal frameworks.
- Validate battery chemistry, power clamping, brownout prevention, throttling, and battery-aging behavior.
- Build hardware-in-the-loop environments, battery cycler or emulator integrations, and CI infrastructure.
- Collaborate with software, firmware, battery engineering, cell chemistry, silicon validation, and performance teams to resolve complex issues.
- Influence software and firmware design decisions by driving testability, telemetry, fault injection, and release-readiness requirements.
Requirements
- 4 to 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong ability to write, read, and debug C and C++.
- Strong experience developing class-based Python tests and Python frameworks.
- Strong understanding of embedded architecture, computer architecture, and operating-system concepts.
- Experience testing and automating embedded systems and firmware.
- Strong critical-thinking, debugging, troubleshooting, collaboration, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Familiarity with bug triage.
- Familiarity with wired adapters, battery management systems, or power is preferred.
- Experience with data analytics, big data, or control systems is preferred.
