Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive multi-quarter technical initiatives for cloud controls uplift and control reporting expansion.
- Perform technical risk assessments, system design reviews, and threat modeling across Google Cloud products.
- Translate ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and GDPR requirements into technical control specifications.
- Design, implement, and automate security controls and reporting mechanisms using AI-enabled tooling.
- Define Key Control Indicators and publish Control Performance and Coverage Reports.
- Lead cross-functional remediation and root-cause analysis for system-wide security risks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and set direction for controls engineering and assurance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Five years of experience with security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.
- Five years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
- Five years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose languages.
- One year of experience leading teams technically or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
- Experience interpreting and implementing controls mapped to industry frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Preferred experience defining and measuring Key Control Indicators and modernizing compliance assurance.
- Preferred experience consolidating platform controls and standardizing them against centralized frameworks.
- Preferred familiarity with AI-driven tooling for control language harmonization, policy alignment, and security reporting.
- Preferred Python, Go, or SQL scripting/software development experience and experience designing automated security monitoring or compliance-as-code platforms.
- Preferred executive stakeholder partnership, communication, relationship-building, remediation, and root-cause analysis experience.

- US base salary is $174000 - $252000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
