Principal Engineer, AI/ML

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI and generative AI solutions at scale for complex business problems.
- Evaluate requirements, proposed solutions, and operational feasibility while ensuring delivery within project scope and deliverables.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for training, testing, and evaluating large language models and traditional machine learning models.
- Engineer solutions with appropriate AI/ML frameworks and libraries and improve model robustness, scalability, efficiency, and performance.
- Monitor AI/ML research and industry trends and incorporate relevant advancements into product offerings.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and data scientists.
- Document code and model development according to engineering practices.
- Perform incidental general and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 6 years of software development or engineering experience delivering enterprise-level or complex and novel system implementations.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.
- Experience deploying AI/ML models to production systems.
- Experience with AWS or cloud infrastructure services.
- Experience with ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Scikit-Learn.
- Solid experience with deep learning techniques such as CNNs, RNNs, and GANs.
- Experience with Git and agile development methodologies.
- Training and experience with the specific technologies used for development.
- Preferred qualifications include extensive troubleshooting and debugging skills, strong analytical and organizational abilities, effective communication and relationship-management skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
