Senior Web Developer, Assistant Vice President
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design and develop modern AI-driven web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
- Build responsive, intuitive, high-performance interfaces that integrate with backend and AI services.
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, backend engineers, and data teams.
- Contribute to frontend architecture, code quality, maintainability, scalability, and performance standards.
- Participate in proofs of concept involving advanced data visualization and complex automation workflows.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Troubleshoot complex frontend issues while maintaining reliability, security, and accessibility standards.
- Provide guidance and support to junior developers.
- Stay current with modern web development, user experience, and AI-enabled web patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in modern web or frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS; React experience is a plus.
- Experience building modular, maintainable frontend components in enterprise-scale applications.
- Experience with API-driven architectures and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
- Understanding of frontend performance optimization, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and enterprise application standards.
- Python scripting and development experience is a plus.
- Experience with data-rich or visualization-heavy applications is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Exposure to or interest in AI-integrated web patterns, including AI/LLM APIs, conversational interfaces, AI-assisted UX or visualization, and dynamic UI components.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, particularly in AI and modern web development.
