Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, automate, and execute performance test scenarios based on non-functional requirements and testing guidelines.
- Maintain traceability across non-functional requirements, performance test scenarios, and defects; track defects to closure and report test results.
- Analyze and tune application, database, distributed-platform, and cloud performance across supported environments.
- Identify environmental and data requirements and collaborate with development and testing teams to maintain them.
- Partner with development and architecture teams to improve test coverage and recommend performance improvements.
- Mentor team members on performance test coverage, scenarios, and non-functional requirements.
- Advance performance engineering practices, automation frameworks, and testing capabilities while influencing technology decisions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience in performance engineering, including analysis, testing, and tuning.
- Experience developing n-tier and J2EE software applications.
- Expertise analyzing distributed platforms across Linux, Windows, AWS, containers, and VMware.
- Expertise with performance and load testing tools such as Apache JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Experience with Unix shell, Python, and Groovy scripting.
- Experience using JMS and IBM MQ messaging systems.
- Understanding of JSON and XML.
- Experience analyzing and tuning Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake database performance.
- Experience with Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS cloud services.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools.
- Experience working with Agile teams, preferably Scrum.
- Familiarity with Playwright or Selenium is a plus.
- Familiarity with Copilot, Amazon Q, and Amazon Kiro is preferred.
- Financial services experience is preferred; familiarity with distributed ledger technology, blockchain platforms, digital assets, resilience testing, fault injection, and chaos engineering with Gremlin is a plus.
