Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded C/C++ software for aircraft communications, telemetry, command and control, and vehicle data links.
- Design reliable communications between aircraft and ground control systems and own networking functionality across vehicle and ground systems.
- Develop interfaces for radios, transmitters, receivers, and other communications hardware and troubleshoot RF communications integrations.
- Implement network management functionality using Ethernet, TCP/UDP, multicast, and related protocols.
- Develop software requirements, architectures, interface definitions, and technical design documentation.
- Collaborate with hardware, avionics, RF, GNC, systems, and ground-station engineers on hardware and software integration.
- Test and debug software on target hardware across software-in-the-loop, laboratory, integrated hardware, system-level, and flight-test environments.
- Support safety-critical software verification, technical schedules and roadmaps, integration activities, and range operations.
- Travel up to approximately 25% for integration and test activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Professional experience developing embedded software in C and/or C++.
- Strong understanding of memory management, pointers, references, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience developing, debugging, and testing software that interfaces with hardware.
- Familiarity with networked or distributed systems and common communications concepts.
- Experience working in Linux-based software development environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware integration issues independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional engineering collaboration.
- Preferred qualifications include RTOS, aerospace, spacecraft, robotics, autonomous vehicle, defense, vehicle communications, telemetry, command and control, data-link, CCSDS, IRIG, serial, CAN, Ethernet, TCP, UDP, multicast, SDR, RF, wireless data-link, network management, routing, safety-critical software, GitLab, simulation, system-level testing, and hardware-in-the-loop experience.
