Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of embedded software for automotive ECUs.
- Manage software development project scope, goals, timelines, and resources.
- Prepare software development and software configuration management plans.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, and validation engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk management and problem-solving activities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, report project progress, and make adjustments as needed.
- Mentor and guide team members while providing technical expertise and support.
Requirements
- More than five years of experience in embedded software development for ECUs.
- Strong knowledge of C/C++ and real-time operating systems.
- Knowledge of software configuration management tools such as PTC and GitHub.
- Knowledge of MISRA-C and CERT-C coding standards.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle and agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet, LIN, FlexRay, and automotive UDS (ISO 14229).
- Familiarity with requirements management tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English.
- Preferred: automotive industry experience; ASPICE, ISO 26262, and AUTOSAR knowledge; large-scale software project management experience; multicultural or multinational team experience; OTA concept familiarity; and secure coding awareness.
