Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build and enhance tooling and automation for faster issue resolution and incident prevention.
- Analyze large-scale telemetry and service-health data to automate root-cause analysis and mitigation of reliability issues.
- Design and implement service-telemetry changes required by automation systems.
- Create proactive alerting based on utilization, trends, resource health, and other customer-impact indicators.
- Partner with customers and serve as a technical point of contact for enterprise service escalations through resolution.
- Provide operational insights to design and product teams to improve customer experience and product supportability.
Requirements
- 6+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration; alternatively, a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 3+ years of experience, or a master's degree plus 2+ years of experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud background-check and other applicable customer or government security-screening requirements.
- Preferred experience includes 4+ years operating large-scale cloud services and 2+ years improving service reliability, availability, and performance.
- Understanding of observability and MELT implementation patterns for large-scale services.
- Experience with Logic Apps, Jupyter Notebooks, distributed systems, incident troubleshooting, root-cause automation, and mitigation.
- Strong systematic problem-solving, communication, curiosity, adaptability, and ability to influence product architecture and roadmaps.
