Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Debug products proactively and reactively using code, logs, telemetry, and other diagnostic methods.
- Maintain live-service operations through rotational on-call support, incident mitigation, escalation, and postmortem reviews.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual, monitor services for degradation or outages, coordinate restoration, and reduce incident volume.
- Integrate instrumentation and create telemetry outputs such as notifications and dashboards for performance, reliability, availability, usage, and safety metrics.
- Collect, classify, and analyze system data to identify defects and guide product improvements.
- Build and maintain reusable software developer tools and standardized, scalable solutions.
- Share engineering tools, practices, and strategies with other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with SCI access based on an SSBI with polygraph.
- Successful clearance verification, Microsoft Cloud background check, and U.S. citizenship verification are required.
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience with PowerShell, C#, or C++.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale distributed services and on-call responsibilities.
- Preferred: ability to influence broadly toward common goals and priorities.
- Preferred: ownership of end-to-end project lifecycles with project management and communication skills.
Benefits
- Typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800–$234,700 per year; specified San Francisco Bay Area and New York City locations have a range of USD $160,200–$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
