Responsibilities

Define scalable and reusable customer-facing software, platform, and system architectures.
Translate customer requirements and market needs into Bose platform capabilities and solution concepts.
Serve as the primary technical advisor in customer workshops, architecture reviews, proof-of-concept discussions, and executive technical engagements.
Support business development pursuits and strategic customer and ecosystem opportunities.
Define integration strategies for centralized compute, zonal, infotainment, AI-enabled vehicle, and third-party systems.
Develop reference architectures, integration frameworks, deployment models, technical business cases, and architecture decision records.
Lead technical scope and success criteria for proof-of-concepts, pilot programs, concept vehicles, and demonstration platforms.
Evaluate emerging technologies and collaborate with Engineering and Product teams on new concepts.
Support strategic partnership evaluations and ecosystem integration with semiconductor suppliers, cloud providers, middleware vendors, AI platform providers, and Tier-1 suppliers.
Identify reusable platform capabilities, define APIs and SDKs, and improve platform scalability and customer integration efficiency.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required; an advanced technical degree is preferred.
At least 8 years of experience in solution architecture, systems architecture, software architecture, product engineering, or automotive software development.
Direct experience working with OEM customers and defining software and platform architectures.
Experience supporting customer pursuits and technical business development activities.
Experience with automotive software, infotainment, connectivity, AI, or Software-Defined Vehicle platforms.
Understanding of Software-Defined Vehicle, centralized compute, zonal, automotive software, middleware, API, cloud and edge computing, OTA deployment, and AI-enabled user-experience architectures.
Experience with audio, infotainment, cockpit systems, system integration, and deployment models is relevant.
Ability to engage technical and executive audiences, facilitate workshops, present to customers, and translate technical capabilities into customer value.
Ability to influence customer architecture and platform decisions and collaborate cross-functionally without direct authority.
Strong business acumen, problem-solving ability, communication skills, strategic thinking, and execution focus.
Experience with an automotive OEM, Tier-1 supplier, semiconductor company, automotive software company, or cloud/platform provider is preferred.

Hiring range for the primary work location in Troy, Michigan is $125,000–$171,950; ranges may vary by Bose work location.
