Responsibilities
- Create and execute cloud computing strategies and manage cloud infrastructure and assets.
- Design structured and unstructured cloud storage solutions and identify cloud services that meet technical requirements.
- Develop secure, resilient, efficient, and operationally excellent cloud solutions aligned with best practices.
- Design microservice, containerized, and cloud-native solutions and write code interacting with cloud-native services.
- Migrate or transform legacy solutions to the cloud and develop flexible architectures leveraged across Magna.
- Monitor metrics, improve development and delivery processes, and troubleshoot issues during testing and production.
- Provide detailed solution specifications covering materials, external services, and internal resources.
- Use Azure DevOps and GitHub source control tools.
- Present and whiteboard solutions with executives, IT management, technical teams, and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience developing technology solutions across areas such as operations and engineering, networking, infrastructure or database architecture, and application development.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience with microservice design or containerization.
- 7+ years of experience developing cloud-based solutions on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- 5+ years of experience with frameworks, architecture patterns, and design patterns.
- AWS or Azure Solutions Architect or Developer Associate certification.
- Experience designing cloud solutions compliant with GDPR and CCPA standards.
- Broad technology experience across at least 2–3 areas including cloud architecture, application development, relational or NoSQL databases, analytics, machine learning, networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers, serverless, CI/CD, management and monitoring, cloud migrations, or IT transformation.
- Expertise with REST-based service-oriented architecture methods and microservices implementation technologies.
- Experience architecting and designing cloud-based solutions and migrating legacy solutions to the cloud.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, and private cloud technologies.
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, Software-as-a-Service, Function-as-a-Service, and the public cloud shared responsibility model.
- Strong background in authentication and authorization protocols and applications, including Azure Active Directory, AWS Cognito, and OAuth 2.0.
- Experience with Docker containers and multiple programming languages, such as JavaScript, C#, Python, C++, and Java.
- Proven leadership, presentation, whiteboarding, adaptability, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
