
Lead Software Engineer-Full Stack Java with AI tools expertise

- Design and develop scalable, resilient software systems and iteratively improve product team solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation meets design constraints and non-functional requirements.
- Write, document, unit test, troubleshoot, and maintain high-quality software code.
- Lead technical delivery across distributed teams and act as a technology coach and lead developer.
- Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and automation practices.
- Establish validation standards for AI outputs covering correctness, performance, secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
- Mentor team members in design, new technologies, clean code, TDD, code review, and problem solving.
- Investigate requirements and liaise with products and customers to understand system functionality and user experience.
- Incorporate telemetry, monitoring, security, alerts, and logging into software solutions.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across product and technology delivery.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Expert knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, software analysis, and software design.
- Expertise with Copilot, Claude, or other AI software tools, including responsible and secure use in engineering workflows.
- Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted development tools and coaching engineers on validating AI-generated outputs.
- Experience with Java, REST and API web services, Spring Boot, microservices, multithreading, and database technologies such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL, or CockroachDB.
- Experience with Terraform or similar declarative infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or BlazeMeter.
- Ability to evaluate upstream and downstream systems and data, identify technical implications, and recommend mitigation actions.
- Preferred experience with customer-facing web applications, NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, and agentic AI.
- Preferred experience leading a technical team and preferred AI/ML or Java certification.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, independent-working, and self-motivation skills.
