Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering partners to shape and deliver customer-focused Membership solutions.
- Own vertical roadmap features from technical discovery through implementation, release, and production operation.
- Build accessible, responsive web experiences using TypeScript and React.
- Design and implement backend services and APIs using Node.js, Express, and related technologies.
- Work with data models and external integrations supporting payments, subscriptions, billing, and account access.
- Write maintainable, testable code and contribute to automated testing and code reviews.
- Participate in monitoring, debugging, production issue resolution, safe releases, and improvements to observability, reliability, performance, and product health.
- Use and critically evaluate AI-assisted engineering tools for exploration, coding, testing, investigation, and documentation.
- Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with Finance, Marketing, SRE, Product, Design, and other partner teams.
Requirements
- Typically 4+ years of professional software-development experience.
- Strong TypeScript or JavaScript programming skills and a record of delivering production software.
- Solid experience with React or a comparable modern frontend framework.
- Experience building or consuming APIs and working with backend services, ideally Node.js and Express.
- Experience writing automated tests and participating in code reviews.
- Practical understanding of cloud-based systems and production operations, ideally AWS.
- Ability to own problems, make sensible trade-offs, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively in a distributed environment.
- Comfort using AI coding or productivity tools and verifying their correctness, security, maintainability, and limitations.
- Interest in learning across the stack and applying emerging AI capabilities to engineering or product problems.
- Preferred experience includes GraphQL, AWS CDK or infrastructure as code, payments or commerce systems, accessibility, frontend performance, production monitoring, growth-related product features, and localization.
