Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain client-side code for desktop and mobile games.
  • Implement, debug, modify, and support in-game features, development tools, and operational tools.
  • Work on client/server-based applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Contribute to new and innovative games and game features.
  • Participate in game design and collaborate with the game development team.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of software development experience.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, including its quirks and workarounds.
  • Experience with data structures in JavaScript or another programming language.
  • Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Experience with IDEs, debuggers, and bug-tracking tools.
  • Proficiency with code-versioning tools such as Git, CVS, and SVN.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming techniques and languages.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: knowledge of React, AngularJS, jQuery, NodeJS, or other advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with Java, C++, Python, or other programming languages.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Grunt or other front-end build tools.
  • Preferred: distributed client/server application development experience.
  • Preferred: game development, UI development, and animation experience.
