Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, coaching, and thought leadership while raising engineering standards.
- Design and build architectures that balance simplicity, quality, scale, security, and maintainability.
- Create reusable patterns, guardrails, and tooling that accelerate delivery and reduce friction and toil.
- Apply engineering fundamentals across software design, data, testing, and distributed systems.
- Use AI-enabled tools across design, coding, testing, review, and documentation while maintaining human accountability for high-risk decisions and final quality.
- Build and operate software with secure coding, observability, testing, and disciplined rollout and rollback practices.
- Ensure production systems achieve required resiliency, performance, scalability, and operability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 10–14 years of experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and RESTful and streaming-based API design.
- Hands-on experience delivering cloud-native solutions, including microservices, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores and their appropriate application at scale.
- Experience using GenAI or ML-driven services to improve developer productivity, system intelligence, or customer outcomes, with an understanding of responsible use, scalability, and enterprise integration.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
