Base Salary

$183k - $274k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and own end-to-end software systems from concept through production.
  • Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines for accurate and timely data availability.
  • Drive complex, cross-system changes focusing on correctness and scalability.
  • Deliver high-quality code with strong automated test coverage.
  • Collaborate with product, business, and engineering partners to create scalable solutions.
  • Improve system performance and reduce latency for time-sensitive workflows.
  • Build internal tools to enhance efficiency for teams and partners.
  • Ensure systems operate reliably at scale, supporting 24/7 global traffic.
  • Use data to measure and communicate the impact of your work.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and mentor other engineers.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of production systems.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in building and operating production software systems.
  • Strong fundamentals in computer science with experience in distributed systems.
  • Proficient in technologies such as .NET/C#, Java, Linux, and NoSQL databases.
  • Ability to take ownership of complex problems and collaborate effectively.
  • Clear communicator who can work across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with high-throughput systems and event-driven architecture.
  • Strong focus on code quality, automated testing, and system reliability.
  • Hands-on experience with modern backend technologies and performance optimization.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science or relevant engineering field.
