Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA backend microservices.
- Collaborate with product and architecture teams to design scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
- Build, test, and maintain high-performance APIs.
- Design relational database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data consistency using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Implement unit and integration tests and maintain high code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
- Deploy and monitor applications in AWS cloud environments.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
- Contribute to product architecture, automation, and development-process improvements.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of experience in Java backend development.
- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or MCA in Computer Science/Application.
- Strong understanding of Core Java, object-oriented programming, collections, streams, exception handling, and multithreading.
- Deep experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
- Hands-on experience with APIs and microservice design patterns.
- Proficiency with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and query optimization.
- Strong understanding of SOLID and clean-code principles.
- Experience with JUnit and Mockito.
- Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
- Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, and continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and product lifecycle development.
- Preferred: exposure to Docker or other containerization tools, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SonarQube, JaCoCo, or similar code-quality tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, communication, ownership, and product-oriented skills.
