Base Salary
$127k - $249k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy security solutions for AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms, including network, compute, identity, and CSPM controls.
- Build automated real-time security monitoring, logging, alerting, runtime security, and anomaly detection solutions.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage cloud-native security tools for endpoint security, IAM, and CSPM.
- Lead security-focused infrastructure projects and collaborate with engineering teams to strengthen the platform’s security posture.
- Mentor and lead a small team of SREs while supporting team goals and individual growth.
Requirements
- Require 6+ years of experience in SRE, infrastructure engineering, or a similar role with a strong security focus, ideally including 2+ years in a senior or staff engineering role.
- Demonstrate comprehensive cloud environment security knowledge from operating-system networking layers through cloud-provider configuration, including runtime scanning, security observability, and CSPM.
- Have strong experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP, including IAM, VPC networking, security groups, and cloud security tools such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, and CloudTrail.
- Be proficient in at least one programming language; Golang is used by the team, but the company is language agnostic when hiring.
- Have experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automating security configurations and processes.
- Understand Linux and networking fundamentals and how they operate together in complex systems.
- Be able to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical teams and lead a small technical team.
