Base Salary
$125k - $254k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own backend services and APIs supporting Customer Care Agents and Toast teams.
- Build and maintain integrations across Salesforce, billing middleware, document management, and iPaaS workflow automation platforms.
- Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and reliability.
- Monitor feature rollouts, respond to incidents, and iterate using performance data and customer feedback.
- Partner with product, design, Salesforce developers, AI engineers, operations stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver shared goals.
- Use AI tools to improve development workflow, velocity, and productivity.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience delivering production backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or another object-oriented programming language.
- Familiarity with API lifecycle management, including versioning, documentation, and deprecation.
- Strong understanding of query languages, data modeling, and data distribution.
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience building with LLMs in production, using Workato or a similar iPaaS platform, and working with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
- Preferred familiarity with React and GraphQL.
