Responsibilities
- Build a deep understanding of ClickUp's systems to identify risks and opportunities.
- Own and improve the incident management process across the engineering organization.
- Define service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs) for all services.
- Enhance observability across all services.
- Develop software solutions for the reliability of large-scale distributed systems.
- Create tools and automation to eliminate operational toil.
- Automate critical engineering processes to minimize risk and maximize innovation speed.
- Manage capacity and performance for scaling infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills with an SRE mentality.
- Production experience in a major cloud environment with CI/CD deployments.
- Experience managing production-grade infrastructure using IaC tools.
- Strong knowledge of *nix based operating systems and troubleshooting.
- Experience with VMs, containers, and orchestration systems.
- Familiarity with RDBMS and NoSQL storage solutions in production.
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
- Bonus points for familiarity with specific technologies in the stack.
