Responsibilities
- Analyze on-premises and Azure transactional database environments for migration planning.
- Develop and enhance database PLSQL/TSQL scripts for migration.
- Identify workarounds for specific migration issues and scenarios.
- Develop test plans and test cases to ensure database readiness post-migration.
- Document detailed design and migration steps for ongoing transitions from Dev to Prod.
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
- 15 years of experience in database design, development, and migration on Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, COSMOS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
- Experience migrating large databases (1TB+) across multiple database engines.
- Experience with heterogeneous database migrations and performance optimization techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, along with scripting experience in bash, Perl, or Python.
