
Principal Software Engineer – Image Signal Processing

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and debug core and application-specific embedded software for automotive electronic modules.
- Develop safety-critical automotive computer vision and image signal processing software for production projects.
- Develop real-time C++ software for 32/64-bit multicore SoCs and microcontrollers.
- Program ISPs and GPUs for compute and visualization tasks and tune camera image quality for automotive applications.
- Develop camera device drivers and work with operating systems and board support packages.
- Perform hardware/software integration, software configuration management, and full software lifecycle development.
- Develop software in compliance with ASPICE-based Global Engineering Process requirements.
- Apply image-quality metrics, test patterns, and camera MTF testing practices.
- Support ISO 26262 functional-safety software development.
- Collaborate with product-development teams across multiple geographic locations and adapt to changing software release schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in camera drivers, ISP tuning, or related software development.
- Programming experience with C/C++, GPU, ARM architecture, OpenGL ES, OpenVX, and QNX or Linux.
- Experience developing real-time embedded software for multicore SoCs or microcontrollers.
- Experience with ISP programming, camera image-quality tuning, image-quality metrics, test patterns, and camera MTF tests.
- Experience with operating systems, board support packages, camera device drivers, automotive embedded modules, and hardware/software integration.
- Experience developing software under a formal ASPICE-based process.
- Experience with ISO 26262 functional-safety software development.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, contribute to multidisciplinary teams, multitask, and collaborate across geographic locations.
