Responsibilities
- Define the architecture and long-term direction of Keeper Commander, including its SDKs, CLI tooling, and automation capabilities.
- Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot secure SDKs, APIs, CLI features, integrations, and developer tools across Python and .NET.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical decisions, standards for SDK design and releases, and complex feature development.
- Architect integrations with cloud services, CI/CD platforms, infrastructure automation tools, and enterprise systems.
- Improve developer experience through APIs, documentation, examples, tooling, onboarding, and open-source community support.
- Collaborate with Product, Security, QA, and engineering teams on customer needs, secure coding, testing, reliability, and release quality.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code and design reviews, guide technical direction, and help balance delivery with maintainability and technical debt.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant hands-on development with Python and .NET.
- Experience building SDKs, APIs, CLIs, developer tools, automation frameworks, or platform integrations.
- Experience designing software architectures for external developers or enterprise customers, including API design, compatibility, versioning, and developer experience.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and associated APIs and security services.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, secrets management, encryption, secure software development, distributed systems, and integration-heavy systems.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, release engineering, open-source software, and complex debugging across application, API, network, and integration layers.
- Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction without relying solely on formal authority.
- Ability and willingness to use AI-assisted tools for development, debugging, research, testing, and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Qualified candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, because of the role’s involvement in GovCloud environments.
- Preferred qualifications include small-team leadership, cybersecurity or privileged access management experience, Go or PowerShell, cross-platform development, cloud security services, package distribution, SDK release workflows, and public API or developer-platform experience.
