Responsibilities
- Engage healthcare stakeholders to identify high-value problems and define minimum viable AI solutions.
- Map business processes, prepare scoping documents and ROI estimates, and establish success criteria before development.
- Design and build rapid full-stack AI prototypes using Claude and modern AI development tools.
- Develop LLM-powered applications with retrieval, agentic workflows, API integrations, and lightweight front ends.
- Own technical architecture from prompt design and data pipelines through user interfaces and explain design decisions to technical and business audiences.
- Iterate prototypes using field feedback and help evolve them into production-grade, enterprise-ready systems.
- Apply responsible AI practices including bias review, explainability, HIPAA compliance, audit logging, and model monitoring.
- Document solutions for handoff and contribute reusable patterns to Brillio’s AI accelerator library.
- Participate in client reviews, steering committees, executive updates, live demos, and risk or dependency discussions.
- Build healthcare domain expertise, serve as a trusted advisor to client business counterparts, and share engagement learnings internally.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of direct, hands-on healthcare industry experience in health insurance operations or health system clinical and operational workflows.
- Proficiency with Claude and the Claude API, including prompt engineering, tool use, and agentic patterns used to build real applications.
- Ability to independently build and ship full-stack AI applications with LLM integration, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic orchestration, API development, and lightweight front-end interfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to move from a business conversation to a working AI prototype within days.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical solutions, business value, cost, and next steps to healthcare executives without jargon.
- Ability to structure ambiguous business problems into scoped AI opportunities with clear inputs, outputs, and success criteria.
- Quantitative fluency to estimate ROI and measure time savings, cost reduction, or revenue protection.
- Comfort participating in executive briefings, steering committees, and business rhythm meetings while handling pushback independently.
- Preferred experience includes LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent agentic AI frameworks.
- Preferred familiarity with HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, claims data structures, HIPAA, CMS regulations, and FDA digital health guidance.
- Preferred forward-deployed, embedded, consulting, startup engineering, health insurance technology, or health system AI deployment experience.
- Preferred experience with reusable AI platforms or accelerators and enterprise AI governance, model risk management, bias evaluation, audit logging, explainability, and data governance.
