Base Salary
$190k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build modern cloud-native architecture with Elixir at its core.
- Create a fine-grained access-control system for clinical data and patient-data ownership.
- Design and ship highly available infrastructure supporting rolling deployments, failover, and real-time data synchronization.
- Architect an integration engine connecting ventilators, bedside monitors, imaging equipment, lab equipment, and other hardware.
- Modernize data flows and workflows for nurses, doctors, administrators, and other hospital users.
- Write clean, robust, scalable software for mission-critical healthcare environments.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency with object-oriented and functional programming and willingness to adopt new technologies.
- Experience or familiarity with Phoenix, Elixir, Python, Erlang, and JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience tackling challenging engineering problems.
- Experience building products from 0 to 1 with strong product sense.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and innovative team environment.
- Familiarity with open-source technology and interest in experimenting with new solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions, trade-offs, and best practices.
- Intellectual curiosity, growth mindset, and ability to solve novel problems using fundamentals and first-principles thinking.
- Passion for making a meaningful impact in healthcare through software innovation is a plus.
